Angeles Forest Region
Sparsely populated, mountainous region about 660 square miles in size with a population of about 4,300. The Angeles Forest Region is situated south of the Antelope Valley Region near the geographic center of Los Angeles County. There are 3 neighborhoods and communities in the Angeles Forest Region of Los Angeles County: Angeles Crest, Lopez=Kagel Canyons, and Tujunga Canyons,

Antelope Valley Region
Large region in the far northeast area of Los Angeles County about 1170 square miles in size with total population of about 295,000. The Antelope Valley region is situated east of the Northwest County Region, north of the Angeles Forest Region, south of Kern County and west of San Bernardino County. There are 13 communities and neighbohoods in the Antelope Valley Region of Los Angeles County: Lancaster, Palmdale, Lake Los Angeles, Sun Village, Quartx Hill, Acton, Southeast Antelope Valley, Northeast Antelope Valley Northwest Palmdale, Desert View Highlands, Littrock, and Leona Valley.
